Why SayMake — Helping curious minds build the future
SayMake brings the joy of building back to the heart of learning — so kids grow up confident enough to make the future, not just consume it. An AI coach removes the friction; the kid stays in the spotlight. Ages 7–14.
Our Founding Story
SayMake was started by Sunny Patneedi — a parent with twenty years at Apple, Microsoft, and Salesforce — after a career spent at the seams of technology and learning. The question he couldn’t put down: what kind of learners is the world about to need?
The Problem
School still rewards what it did fifty years ago — memorize the answer, get it right on the test — and the messy work of building real ideas rarely makes the schedule. AI now hands kids the answers for free. What it can’t hand them is taste, imagination, and the nerve to build something of their own — the muscles that matter now. Imaginative building is the skill of the future. We’re not teaching it.
Our Vision
We use the latest learning science and AI to make hands-on building easy again — and to put it back at the center of everyday learning, where it belongs. Kids stay in front; AI plays a supporting role — clearing the friction and asking the next good question. And because curiosity grows beyond the classroom, we design for families too.
The kid picks the idea, makes the calls, and does the real work. The AI coach is beside them, not in front. The family is the surrounding context that makes curiosity a way of life.
